Don't Wait For Tommorow Poem by WIN VENTURA

Don't Wait For Tommorow

When youth was ours, we had the fire,
The strength to chase each wild desire.
But work came first, then home and care,
A husband, children, ... everywhere.

We gave our mornings, gave our nights,
Put our own dreams out of sight.
We whispered, "Later… when there's time,
I'll live my life, I'll make it mine."

Then years flew past without a sound,
And suddenly our freedom came around.
The children grew, the duties slowed,
But youth had taken a different road.

We finally had the time to play,
But wished for yesterday's strength that day.
The world was waiting, wide and bright—
But tired bones no longer moved quite right.

So don't postpone the life you crave,
Or bury every dream you save.
Dance while your feet still want to move,
Travel, laugh, explore, and groove.

Life isn't promised to grow old-
It's meant to be lived while we hold
The strength to wander, love and play.
Don't spend your life preparing for the day saying...
I'll have my fun another day."

Go now.
Live now.
Laugh while you can.
Before your body whispers
what your younger heart once planned.
