I crave a spark of optimism
A flash of brightness in the gloom
Of our land ripped by conflict and rage
Where doom is the common doom

No battle can mend the scars of the past
No gore can cleanse the sorrow
I stand for humanity, not for dogma
I seek for fairness, not for plunder

Do not assume you serve the sacred
By slaying those who are not yours
You only reap more fruits of anguish
And make your god cry in remorse..
