Doorstep Poem by kendall thomas

Doorstep

Rating: 5.0

I’m leaving my dreams on your doorstep.
You wanted them, and now you have them.

You didn’t want me to have them;
You wanted to take them away from me;
So here - now you can have them.
I don’t need them anymore.
You lose.
I’ll go after something real from now on.

I leave you with handfuls of nothing:
Dreams and a son who no longer loves you.
