Dreamers Anthem Poem by Tommy LoMaglio

Dreamers Anthem

Dreamers Anthem
by Tommy LoMaglio

1. Pockets full of stones
Body full of bones
Now I realize
I'm just a man alone
I am just a mess
No comfort comes from rest
Visions in my head
I am surly dead

C. These dreams they seem
So heavy like they're suffocating me
They creep, they creep
Come to weigh me down, ensnare me where I sleep
Oh God, They crawl
My skin they overtake... I fall
I only hope to find comfort when I wake

2. I've come to admit
My skin just doesn't fit
It'd hard to understand
who I really am
What I've done, what I've said
Echoes in my head
I am surly dead
I am surly dead

Repeat C.

B. If I wake to find you here
I'll feel you when your near
When I look back on my life
Will everything be clear?

Repeat C.
