Dreaming Far Away Poem by Cathryn Martin

Dreaming Far Away

As my eyes are closing,
I see my one true love,
He's lying there beside me,
Though he's not really there.

He is somewhere far distant,
From where I lay my head,
All I hope and dream is that,
Thoughts of me fill his head.

The night is closing in now,
In this cold, lonely world of mine,
But the sun is up where he is,
So surely he is fine.

Now I see through his eyes,
As if I were truely there,
His heart is as lost as mine,
And hes scruffy like a bear.

Days went rolling past,
As I lay in bed,
Before my one true love,
Finally kissed my head.

Here are the final words I heard,
Before I fell asleep,
'Don't worry I am here now,
Go ahead, dream easy.'

'Dream of the life,
We will have together,
Our future can start now,
And will go on forever! '
