Dreams - Poem by Aurea Armbruster

A beacon of hope
Is what my dreams are
For nothing else
Can take me that far

Up through the clouds
Down to the sea
There are no boundaries
For you or for me

My imagination
Takes me to the place
Where I see grand sights
And many a face

Dreams are my escape
That I will never enjoy
For when I wake up
My dreams will be destroyed

But as long as they last
I want to live there
For my dreams make me feel
As though I’m floating on air
