Drink Nights - Poem by Sarah Cotnam

and i went out followed
took the turns alone
they're laughing at me
talking to me
thinking that im thinking of them
feel the weight of their thoughts
feel the weight of their world
and their complications
looking out for them
they're laughing at me now
every night's the same thing
every night's the same scene
everybody wanting
and everybody laughing
they're not listening
and i went out followed
took all the turns alone
they're laughing at me
talking to me
hoping that im thinking of them now
they're laughing at me now
