Drivel Poem by Joseph M Donatelli

Drivel

An overlooked treaty put an end to trials
But then false worries grew by miles
What should have been relieved smiles
Instead revived contrived denials
Turning ships wheel gears clanking notes
The rudder banged the back of the boat
A love story claimed a changing heart
Which found a place for peace to start

What does this drivel above say to us
Confusion rots value faster then rust
It's impossible that people at peace must
Fail to find old suspicions among the dust
That's falling from the agreement thrust
Upon the most unaware who can't trust
Not knowing their minds are made of muck
Nothing creative can be made of non stuff

Peace benefits fall like leaves by the way
With nothing good changing day to day
The pointless treaty came more to say
What's the use of freedom these days
Can't read can't write the unsocialized fray
Continues societies unstable disarray
Disorganized evenings and lawless days
From the colors of sunrise to nights decay
