Drowned By A Memory Poem by Sierra Love

Drowned By A Memory

Rating: 5.0

swimming within my self
so many places
I could just dive down and hide
only when diving deeper
is when I start to notice little details
the details I stored away
deep deep down
away where I am never suposed to find them
now these details
as painful as they may be
slowly begin to rise
bobbing on the surface of my mind
signs everywhere scream:
TREAD WITH CATION!
one wrong movement
and the details become full blown memorys
memorys I was not supposed to remember
now the calm waters surge with fury
and I am fighting to keep my head above the surface
the tears dripping off my cheeks
add the memory
like a old leaking faucet
it is too late
choking and gasping
trying to grasp on to any piece of reality I have left
fear!
shame!
guilt!
I now know I can't fight it anymore
I close my eyes
close my heart
close my life
and wait impatiently
as I slowly slip under
