Drowning In Words - Poem by Andrea Doyle

Every word a fucked up mess
Every sound a wrong note

It's hard to talk
Hard to breath
Hard to open my mouth

Suffocating underwater
Drowning in words
Unable to say them
But unable to hold them in

My mind bursts with thought
And feelings
Of a time in place
Where I could breath
And speak my mind
Without the blood from my wrist

Equivalent exchange
One thing for another
But all I find is it takes
And gives nothing in return

Poet's Notes about The Poem

This is about my attempts to speak my mind and how every time I do I mess up.
This is detonated to my friend who taught me to speak my feelings trough some sort of art and that art became poetry. LOVE YOU! !
