Dunyah & Jannah Poem by Ahmed Ali Hussein

always and forever you are to me,
most dear to me
this is clear to me,
that you are geared to me,
from one who's kind both, gentle and fine.

you are the morning breeze,
that brings fresh cheer to my life,
you are the after glow,
at the end of the night.

you are amazing like the crystals that form,
they are delicate and yet divine,
they can last forever if carefully looked after,
for my darling we will be together in the hereafter.

for Jannah would be my dream,
to have you it would be a scream as seen,
that the end of this Dunyah we would not miss,
to be in our heavenly bliss.

so to end this poem on a positive note,
before i get a lump in my throat,
there is one last thing to say,
that may Allah grant us this one wish someday.
