Early Morn Poem by bob barci

Early Morn

Early in the morning
when I'm still awake from the night before,
and the street lights are still glowing,
I think of you.
When the birds have begun to chirp,
and I haven't gotten home yet,
thoughts of you fill my head.
With sunrise creeping up,
and my soul is feeling its warmth,
I long to touch you.
To explore you with sight and touch,
to hold you close to my being,
to explore you with loving caresses.
Early in the morning,
when I'm alone, cold, and lost,
I think of you.
How we spent our time together,
how we'll continue to do so.
Early in the morning,
when the sun is up,
and the birds are chirping,
I know my love for you is true.
