Earthbound now, our spirit longs for freedom,
searching for the pathway to the portal -
narrow gateway to the crystal kingdom,
when we heal the flaws that make us mortal.
Entangled in this crumbling flesh we wilt -
the trembling leaf of life appears to fall
to perish in the sepulchre we've built
as if this fleeting span we know is all.
And does our precious life evaporate-
vanishing as time sprints heedless by?
Or is there more? Can we anticipate
a better world than this to justify
the misery, the sense of disconnection.
Can hope be born from our enhanced perception?
