Sometimes I find myself empty,
As if my soul has left to wander around
In the alleys that carry my dreams.
Dreams become reality,
But the reality remains incomplete.
For the void remains unfilled,
Emptiness resides within me
In the bottomless pit, that life seems.
My shattered thoughts like lost clouds,
My forlorn hopes occupying me.
I can't put my finger on what's missing,
Words don't come easy anymore.
Too distraught amidst the chaos of my being,
I can't find my way back to myself.
Lost like a traveler in a desert,
I share the thirst just the same.
But what will ever be able to quench these flames?
I cannot fathom, I cannot fathom.

Moments turn into an eternity...
