Egyptian Solstice (Part-2)

In the land of the Pharaohs, long ago
Where desert sands shimmered and ancient winds blow
Lived a civilization, mighty and grand
Where gods and goddesses, ruled the land
The sun, a blazing orb in the sky
Showered the people with its fiery eye
But on this day, a special time
Egyptian solstice, a mystical chime
The longest day, the shortest night
A time of magic, a time of light
The sun god Ra, at the peak of his power
Blessing the land from his golden tower
As the people gather, in the temple of Ra
Their hearts full of wonder, their hearts full of awe
The air is thick with incense and prayers
As the priests prepare, for the solstice affairs
The drums begin to beat, a rhythmic sound
Echoing through the temple, all around
The dancers sway, in colourful attire
Their movements a tribute, to the sun's fire
The music rises, to a fever pitch
As the sun reaches its highest hitch
The people cheer, the priests proclaim
Egyptian solstice, a sacred flame
In the streets, the city comes alive
As the people celebrate, with joy and thrive
Colorful banners, adorn every door
As the sun's rays, continue to pour
The market stalls, bustling with life
As traders sell, their goods with strife
Spices and jewels, silks and gold
A feast for the senses, a sight to behold
At the river Nile, boats glide by
As the people cool off, under the sky
Children splash and play, with pure delight
As the sun sets, and turns to night
As darkness falls, a hush descends
But the celebrations, are far from end
For on this night, the sun and moon align
A rare event, a cosmic sign
The sky is lit, with a thousand stars
A symphony of lights, from afar
The people gaze, in wonder and awe
As the night sky, becomes their theatre floor
The pyramids, stand tall and proud
As the moon's light, casts a mystical shroud
The sphinx, a silent watcher of the night
As the constellations, paint the sky with their might
Egyptian solstice, a night of magic and lore
A time of celebration, a time to explore
The secrets of the universe, unfold in this land
As the sun and moon, hold each other's hand
As the night draws to an end, the people gather
To offer thanks, to the gods they'd rather
The sun god Ra, and the moon goddess Isis
For the blessings, they've bestowed upon this oasis
The drums beat once more, as the people sing
A hymn to the sun, a hymn to the king
For on this night, the people are one
In the light of the sun, under the moon's gentle run
Egyptian solstice, a night to remember
A night of wonder, a night to surrender
To the powers of the sun, and the moon above
For in this land, they are the symbols of love
So let us raise our voices, to the sky
And bid farewell, to the solstice so high
For its magic and beauty, will forever reign
In the hearts of the people, in the land of the Pharaohs' domain.
