Emerald Poem by Foster Teegarden

Emerald

I'm looking to fix what we might have,
hoping that I'm not just being daft.
You know I've promised you a big blast
even if I'm not skilled in that craft.

Told you I'd do whatever you dream,
as long as we form into a team,
and I get to see, daily, you gleam.
Together we could live out my scheme.

Whatever I've done to disturb you
I have to deal with now through and through.
Range high and low to know what you knew.
Patch up those things, make us stick like glue.

Just help me to help you heal the sting
that my past problems may be hindering.
Say what comes to your mind, my darling.
I'll do it and give an emerald ring.
