Emotions Poem by Robert R. Railey

Emotions

Rating: 4.5

Emotions

Emotions rule our every thought from peevish fits to times of doubt
but the worst time of all is when our hearts are broken, diverse as they truly are
But when love forsakes us we must still tread bravely on; and as unfortunate as it may be some of us might have to live without ever knowing the true meaning of peace and happiness
Apparently, then, the only real solution to life lies in the hands of our maker; and assuming that's true, then the answer must come from our creator
Perhaps it's just as well, we think, for it might not be wise for us to be in total control of our lives
For then, the decisions we might make would almost certainly injure us more
