Emotions Poem by Barbara Blevins

Emotions

Emotions drowned in a sea of regret,
My heart aches as I sit and fret.
Questions of actions taken,
Deep choking has left my heart shaken.
Words spoken out of ignorance,
Leaves self stunned in a quick glance.
Overwhelming torment of mind,
A briddled tongue would be kind.
Forgive me, I'm sorry, as you stump down your pride.
After a moment of fatal grief,
The heart now feels total relief.
