Emptyshell In Seclusion Poem by Jamie Dewyer

Emptyshell In Seclusion

this husk
of evolution
sunk in, broke
beyond delusion
this bitter pill
of constitution
worn out rags
of institution

lesser men
would wear the fusion
uttered soft and in confusion
swept aside the contribution
ordered still
to claim collusion

i needed you
for this illusion
beds we make
are our profusion
the limitless
meets the occlusion

and nothing matters
in seclusion

2

the soft pose taught
the deeper thought
the right way naught
the only

sleep soft and dream
of worlds that teem
with life and seem
like life

...he handed them pieces of paper
each with a name of a savior
each with a grain of behavior
each with a stain of a world that was born to be

born to be

born to be

braver than this
