Enlightenment Poem by Philip Emmanuel Penaflor

I knocked into the door of silence and it echoed deep into my soul,
a voice beckoned me to enter, and I found myself into my own heart;
The voice asked me what is it that I seek in the deep recess, "I come
to search for enlightenment", I heard myself say, and the voice
led me into the darkness. "Only when you immerse yourself into
the darkness and become completely lost into it shall you be able
to find what you seek." "And then, what? " I asked the voice.

And then there was utter silence.

And so I plunged myself into the darkness and became one with
the darkness and became the darkness, and I forgot who I was,
until I did not care anymore what it was that I came to seek for.
