Envy Poem by Alexander Foald

Envy

Flashing memories out in the blue night
Upon the face of the moon, like a river of dreams
Flowing to the bottom of a heart that embraces
The warmth of love, reminiscences of the past

Can there be envy in your dim-lighted heart,
Calling your desire to steal the diamond tears
From the eyes of a child?
Will there be an end to this seamless dream,
Apart from the final moment fate has decide on?
Can I touch your skin and feel the joy of being alive,
To know what is real and what is not?
How come they only see your color, and not mine?

Like rowing in infinity, I’m walking in a circle
Life has no bound to restrain your heart from falling
And you will only find happiness as you feel the pain
When they tear your heart and let you die in vain
