Eons Poem by Deejaegh Beck

Eons

I've waited eons just to find you,

You're my one and only,

This I know for sure,

Oh how, I've longed to be in your grace,

And to be in your warm embrace,

I've walked so many miles just to find you,

To find the man I will cherish for the rest of my life,

Never to look at the ones who aren't true,

But, I've strayed and had found lots of strife,

Along the way I've walked through the dark,

And swam in shark infested waters,

My matches wont spark,

And give me the light I need to claw my way out,

I am sitting here with those who are plotters,

Plotters of evil against us and want us to pout,

They don't want to see us together,

And they want to see us tumble and fall,

These people don't know what true love is about,

Nor they want to see others succeed,

They bring us stormy weather,

And they dance and have a ball,

All these people want to do is instill doubt,

Doubt between us never to grow as we need,

For eons I will always love you,

And try to be the one you run too,

For, my life hasn't had a purpose until you came along,

And our lives became a beautiful symphony of song,

My heart skips a beat when we talk to each other,

And one day we could be with one another,

Though so far away,

I hope one day we can come together,

For you're my one,

My one true love,

To have and to hold,

And to get old with one another,

I will always love you,

For eons and eons more.
