Era Poem by Shelvakumari Thachayil

Era

Pictures are changing
I'm alone again and alone
The sky is far off
Mute to shine
To envy to envy in darkness
Being the longest day in the day when the harvest is dry
It's been a long time ago
Like clay pots
The mortalities are in the trenches
And the goodness of the day.
