Eve To Adam Poem by e.e. wilholt

Eve To Adam

Rating: 2.7

I'm the early blush on a
late-blooming rose
waiting for the sun's hot kiss

I'm a little russet vixen in heat
shooting out pheromones
like a fine mist of musky cologne

I'm a vine fruit ripe for
plucking-bite into me
and let sweet juice drip
between open lips

I'm a crimson blossom
in full bloom-
pull away my petals
and strip off green sepals
to reveal the soft stamen within

I'm a long-dormant volcano
coming awake at last
molten magma seethes down
deep, rumbling to surface

Inhale my earthy fragrance,
steal the scent of ancient gardens
feel the pulse of lava erupting
like a flow of tears on fire
