Evening At Faeriecon Poem by Justin Gildow

Evening At Faeriecon

Evening at Faeriecon
And every fantasy and mythological being is out
and about tonight
As well as on display tonight
Fairies fashion on their wings
Mermaids slip on their tails

Goddesses share their stories and lore
All of this happening a short distance away
from Baltimore

In the hotel
The fairies walk on by
Wishing they could fly
Fly to the wonderful skies
Artists and authors peddle their merchandise
Appealing to every eye, I can see
Cloaks and soft clothing catch many eyes as well

In the hotel pool
The mermaids have made themselves at home
While looking elegant, beautiful, and super cool
For tonight is a time for them to rule on this
very night
The moon shines through the glass windows tonight
As the mermaids swim under the moonlight
Enrapturing children and their parents all the same
And everybody else who came

It's evening at Faeriecon
