Every Rose Holds A Secret Inside Poem by Mystic Qalandar

Every Rose Holds A Secret Inside

Every rose that opened held a secret inside —
not fragrance, not color, but the trace of the Divine.
The ocean bent into the curve of its own wave —
only water, yet claiming nowhere to stand.

Each breath declared: no particle stands apart.
Each atom is the First Light, never severed from the Flame.
When mirror met mirror, the 'other' disappeared —
only Light remained before me; no second was there.

A stillness of silence settled deep in the chest —
remembrance went on; the Rememberer and Remembered were one.
Beauty poured from every direction;
every turn was a glass —
everywhere the Beloved showed himself;
no veil was left.

So near, the eye forgot how to see;
so far, he was like the soul — yet not separate.
Love set fire to every veil until they burned away —
they rose and rose, and still the Beloved stood bare.

All I looked upon gave back a luminous face —
the sun mirrored in water, yet never far from the sun.
Silence becomes this sweet madness better, O MyKoul —
even these words I speak were never fully mine.
