Everyone's Glued To Their Phone... Poem by Adrian Wait

Everyone's Glued To Their Phone...

Banality in the White House
Liars and Charlatans in Power
Souls dying in the doorways
Everyone's glued to their phone

So many talking… Anyone listening
Passing by the heartache and sorrow
Too busy exchanging nothing
Everyone's glued to their phone

Darwin's theory in full flow
Causalities out of sight, out of mind
The circus has changed, same clowns
Everyone's glued to their phone

Cathedrals of capitalism overflow
Eager pilgrims seeking detraction
Much wants more, tis never enough
Everyone's glued to their phone

Alone in the shadows with empty eyes
Another soul slips away thro' indifference
Crowds casually step over the inconvenience
For, Everyone's glued to their phone
