Everything For Happiness - Poem by Stacey Tyler
My face is a little bit dirty from the endless deviations of life,
my shoes are worn from getting nowhere, and yet my
attitude is standing proud and not looking for a remark to go
ahead and get what I want. I'm envious of nobody and I can
be an angel undercover for someone struggling with the cruel
tendencies of life. I will go out in this sad world after I
get myself in the right attitude by washing my face and buying
new shoes. I will show all that I have the ambition to move at a
happy and eventful pace. While encouraging change in
everything I will smile. Life is way too short to think about
a perfect time, place, or person. So I will be jolly and
carefree today and live the day like the next will never come. . .
Intrigue Me How was your day dear?
Can you tell me if you felt fine or dizzy in a swirl?
I began to daydream and I shivered with a fear.
You imagined the body and feel of another girl.
Could it be jealousy I possess, or the need of reassurance
whispered gently in my ear?
Just tell me I'm foolish or then just confess.
Your sins of the past don't really fit here, but your erotic
wanderings around noon are everlasting.
-the tight sweater with swelling breasts-
-the powdery thighs beneath a black skirt waving-
-the full lips screaming the touch of yours-
You eyed these features but did you care that I bear these
Others don't offer resistance to stare.
I wish you would distinguish me as a beautiful creature.
When you touch me with your eyes closed I want you to know
To me we were brought together by luck, so when you open
your eyes, what you imagined is what you see.
Your day remains a mystery while my day sucks!
