Everything that you utterly dread,
Fills your heart with fear, fills your mind with dread.
A dark cloud that looms over your head,
Haunting your steps, making you dread.
The ticking clock, counting every second,
As you try to escape, but it seems never-ending.
The anxiety builds, making you breathless,
As you face the things that you utterly dread.
It could be spiders, crawling on the walls,
Or heights that make your stomach churn.
Maybe it's a fear of being alone,
Or public speaking that makes you want to run.
The thought of failure, the fear of rejection,
The weight of expectations, crushing your soul.
All of these things that make you freeze,
The things that you dread, that take their toll.
You try to hide, try to run away,
But these fears follow you, each and every day.
They lurk in the shadows, waiting to pounce,
And you can't escape, you can't renounce.
They hold you back, they make you weak,
They drain the color from your rosy cheeks.
You want to break free, to be fearless,
But these things that you dread, they make you feel helpless.
Like a prisoner in your own mind,
You try to break free, but you can't find,
The strength to face your fears, to conquer them all,
To stand tall, to rise and never fall.
But don't let them consume you, don't let them win,
You are stronger than you think, don't let them in.
You have the power, you have the might,
To fight back, to shine in the darkest of nights.
So take a deep breath, and face your fears,
Let go of the dread, let go of the tears.
For in the end, it's just a state of mind,
And you have the courage, the will to unwind.
Embrace the unknown, embrace the challenge,
For everything that you dread, it's just a mirage.
You are capable of so much more,
Than the things that you dread, that you abhor.
So don't be afraid, don't let them hold you down,
Rise up, break free, wear your fearless crown.
For everything that you utterly dread,
Is just a part of you, that can be shed.
