Evil Blind - Poem by Buxton Shippy

He spoke audibly
John the baptist heard Him
So did the multitude
He is alive
In my heart
He is alive
In heaven real
Speak Lord

Let us hear
Your voice again
Speak through thunder
Through lightening speak
With your voice
Make dead men rise
And with the wind
Your spirit felt
Come down again
On earth we plea

In your presence
Evil blind
Touch us
With your love sublime
Your strength
And power we seek
Keep us
Strong tower

O King make Satan mute
Break his frame
His kingdom destitute
