Evils Sight - Poem by Gordon Jerome

Evil lurks in the darkness deep
Through the shadows it loves to creep
Watching hungrily for its chance
Some careless victim on which to prance
For upon their fear it so must feed
To subside its wants and fulfill its need
It hungers always out of control
Forever searching for yet another soul
Until another on a darkened path
Straggles behind and feeds again its wrath
So if you choose to brave the night
Beware the shadows and embrace the light.
“closing thought”
May your path be always bright
And always far from evils sight
