Eyes Poem by Euan Voo

Eyes

Black and vulnerable.
Beyond comprehension.
Balls of bountiful beauty,
A cartographer's cherished reward;
Paragon's perfection:
The spirit of the Cherubim
Dancing around the heavens;
Ornate Orbs they orbit around their opening,
Her sparkling, swirling spheres
Are the golden gateways to her soul:

Those eyes,
My surprise.

Her eyes are:
Piercing through the hardened heart;
Those eyes have gone through
Years of injustice.
Yet they shine.

Yet they sparkle:
Beauty in the beholder
Giving them comfort.
The comfort of a friend.
No, the comfort of a confidante.

Watch those eyes:
See them radiate with joy,
Dance around with Love.
Peace is in the atmosphere.
Those eyes that shoot out tears of Hope
that coruscate off the walls of our vision.

See them illuminate the ground in front of us.
Beacons that guide her to safety;
Beacons that guard her mind.
Guardians of her soul.
Windows to a profound perception to life
They are masters of influence:

These eyes of hers I have charted.
They are a part of her.
She is the treasure I have found.
And I love them.

I love her.
