'Faces Of The Masses' Poem by Angelo H.G.

'Faces Of The Masses'

Rating: 5.0

Each is equal
with thoughts covered in blue emotion
arms reaching for fill in the blank
past pain pulling at the heart
the future is anyone's guess
nibbling on the luxuries we can attain
spitting venomous lies for various reasons
seeking pleasure or gain
eating at each others ego
putting a standard on beauty
trying to put a hand on the untouchable
loving blindly
in the dark with eyes open
in the rain without a coat
we all are cold
some become sad others mad
we are angels no we are animals
perhaps and probably both
there is a gray area
and it is I, plus you, multiplied by God
each is equal
In some sense the tiger is the ape
all is one in this universal creation
blessed with perfect imperfections
oh humanity we are beasts with love and a brain
we are simply complex
