Grandma... R.I.P

In tears, I saw you sink...
I watched you fade away.
My heart was so broken,
You fought so hard to stay.

But when I saw you sleeping,
So peaceful, free from pain,
I could not wish you back
To suffer all that again.

God put your arms around her...
And in your loving care,
Make up for all she suffered...
And all that was unfair.

Though it breaks my heart to lose her...
She did not go alone.
For part of me went with her
The day God called her home.
