Faded Love - Poem by George Aul

I can only see the memory
of a face so beautiful,
she came into my life
a long time ago now,
she left for a better life.
I was alone with my heart...
alone with my thoughts,
How could I ever let her go?
Life has never been the same
since that one terrible day.
Only a faded picture remains,
and a broken heart never replaced.
