Fading Poem by angela landa

Fading

I'm fading from existence.
I'm fading from life.
I'm fading from what i was.
From what i used to be.
A young girl scared afraid,
But smart, stayed out of trouble.
That was i but no longer is it.
For i am not scared.
I am a trouble maker!
So i have faded from what i once was,
To what i am now.
How sad?
How depressing?
How I dont know!
It's strange when people change and you never notice.
It's even stranger when you change and you dont notice!

But one day, you're going to shine! Go to You Tube and listen to the song 'You Are More' by Tenth Avenue North 'Love anything and your heart will be wrung and possibly broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact you must give it to no one, not even an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements. Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket, safe, dark, motionless, airless, it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable. To love is to be vulnerable.' C.S. Lewis
