Fairplay Poem by Petra Novakova

Fairplay

A soul came to me, in a moment of eternity
She asked: Why me? In a small broken voice
I remained silent and sent her right back
The soul was reborn, it lived and died alone

A soul came to me, in a moment of eternity
He asked: Why are you seated on a throne?
I looked away and send him right back
The soul was reborn, it lived and died alone

A thousand lives, a thousand and one deaths
All in vain, differentiated only through pain
An infinite emptiness, an eternity of loneliness

A soul came to me, in a moment of eternity
It looked me in the eye and saw through my lie
I ignored it childishly and sent it right back
The soul was reborn, it lived and died alone

A soul came to me, in a moment of eternity
They tugged on my hand and I stood up
I bowed my head and we exchanges places
I was reborn, I lived and I died alone
