Fake It 'til You Make It Poem by Mary Champion

Fake It 'til You Make It

I was nothing,
and all I had was a dream
of what I aspired to be
and so, I pretended to be what I longed to be.
But I am an extremist,
and my pretence was extreme until,
in the fullness of time,
it became a reality.
So it was that the flower of truth
stemmed from the lies
that were rooted in my dreams.
