False Security Poem by Lauren Joy

False Security

That very first time
Your hand was so warm
Your eyes so kind
Your lips promised perfection
The world was harmless in your company
I thought I was in control
How did you become my obsession?
My mind is your playground
I laugh like a child
Naivety is my helmet
Ignorance my raincoat
Your hands slide across my body
They cover my eyes
In a moment I am bound head to foot
Silenced with a dirty gag
Putrid taste of vomit in my mouth
You hold me close
Stroke my hair
Bittersweet breath in my ear
Insanity in a plastic bag
You use me
Abuse me
I am your puppet
