False Teeth Poem by Melody Thomas

False Teeth

Rating: 3.5

Cantankerous old fool said I to you
Dear have you not seen my false teeth near Lou
Lou couldn’t swallow
He couldn’t follow
But then he found the false teeth in his shoe

Clara then said can you place them in sink for me
Lou looked at her with love and little mockery
He threw them in sink
But then Clara did wink
Those darn false teeth are so loose in my gums and tea.

Now, see here! Been there, done that and the current pair are in need of repair... I really like this. I have always maintained that a good poet can write about anything!
