Family Poem by Adeleke Oluwafemi

Family

My journey to the world
Is companioned with a cord
As a ward
I was natured by a board.

Blood they say,
Is thicker than water.
Storge they say,
Is brighter than ray.

With their consent
My existence is approved
From their accent
I learn how to speak

They are the only set of friends
That will never end.
Boyfriend, girlfriend never last,
But their love will never cast.

No matter how far you go
The bond will bring you back.
It is an unending love
It is called Family!
