FAREWELL

Farewell is just a word
But,
For you and for me, it is more

It is a word, Loaded like a gun
With emotion, feeling,

Sorrow with a tear
Anticipation and fear...

Of letting go
Of leaving
A comfort zone,
A promising hand,
A shoulder to cry on,
Mouths to cheer,
Drinks to share,
Tea juice or beer

Why say Goodbye? ? ?
This life is
To meet and to part
And meet and part
And
To meet again

Beaming smiles with teary eyes
Surprise or emotionless...

One last Photograph
One last Dance
One last Memory

To hold, to keep, to guard, to bring back from the Past
