Farewell Poem by Nirvik Jung Rayamjhee

Farewell

Rating: 4.0

Adieu! we had to part on that day
Without being able to say Goodbye,
Didn't even wave farewell hands,
Not once got a chance
To wish you Good luck on your voyage.

Neither could give you a 'Rumal'
(A symbol of memoir)
Which was kept for years to give you.

Left behind…
Mine yearned to embrace you tightly,
Wishing to kiss your brow wiping away tears.
At that Pensive twilight,
Nightingale was bewailing too!

Doth wound of nostalgia appears now
And cascading upon my own thoughts,
I figure it out one by one-
'Why had I met you at yore?
Keeping eyes upon the infinite way
We parted on that day.'
