Fascination Number Three Poem by Shelby Barker

Fascination Number Three

Today they gather in credence.
Today, like all days, they inhale their certainty
Uncertain but unquestioned
And organs play boldly and mellow.
Arms and voices are lifted up past
The pellucid stained glass -
The people are moved and smile
All problems resolved, they smile
They close their eyes
And an elderly woman in back
bows her head - lips moving fast -
And weeps.
