Fate Of Family Poem by Jared Bradford

Fate Of Family

Rating: 5.0

We live in a world
Where a single man's signature
Can decide the fate of family

We live in a country
When real disaster strikes
We delay the good fight

We live in a nation
Of colors and pledge
Yet the people teeter-totter
On a skyscrapers ledge

Leaders debate:
'Vacation near or far away? '
People think on the ledge:
'Should I live another day? '

Equality for all
Man, what a joke
Rich get richer
Poor get flat broke

But we're still proud
Of what we live in
Even if we can't put on a smile
We'll just stay grinnin'

If only our problems
Were easy as 1,2,3
Then we'd be living real
We'd really be free

I live with my family
Broken and battered
All stemming right from
Our nations matters

It's too easy to
Point my single finger
So stand up, don't fear
Or our problems will linger
