you hide your dark soul behind these watered clouds
and whenever the sun peaks out, it tries to show you the way.
but your stubborn apprentice will not listen to its steady glow.

when youve finally 'figured' out the world, make sure to let me in
on this lonely secret youve been hiding from the rest of the universe.
im sure these voices, the ones in your head, have given you advice.

what does it feel like to walk in the dark completely alone?
with not even an angel lingering in your presence, but instead
the demons in which have captured the person you 'use' to be.

youve shunned yourself from everyone who loved you,
and yet, youre completely satisfied with your lonesome thoughts.
ive thrown in the towel and let go of everything we 'use' to have
and thank the world for it.
