Fear Poem by William Hill

Fear

Fear

Fear is illusion, causes confusion
Manic panic, get stuck in an institution
Go round and round in your mind, entertain
Your experiences, life is what you will gain

Your story is unique, so write well brave human
You can do anything, you say you can
You believe in yourself and overcome your fear
Captain of your ship, which way will you steer?

Dark storm on the horizon, hold on tight
Dancing in darkness, helps one understand the light
And through the storm you will go, a rainbow
Pot of gold, high and low, as above so below

Now what do you fear most? a good question to ask
Play your role well, while you're wearing a mask
We wear masks of all kind, trying to act so brave
And we take this insane game, to the grave

Fear not, brave human, the story goes on
And yes it is true, someday we will all be gone
What rises shall fall, back to dust we go
But souls carry on, in the never ending flow

Or perhaps we are nothing, never to return
In the eternal fire we shall burn
We are that very nothing, seeking to become
Just add it all up now, what is the sum

Dance with the devil, find yourself in time
Fickled trickster show yourself in this sublime rhyme
So we can better understand the light
There will be no more need to kill or to fight

We will live in a utopia, this is true
Listen up human, can you get a clue?
And one day in the near future we will all see
That the fear we hold, will set us all free
