Feelings I Ponder Poem by Ren L

Feelings I Ponder

The rush in a confrontation—
When my fingertips tingle and my breath is hot.
My heart pounds tremendously in my chest at the frustration.
No longer docile, I am excited to fight against what I've been taught.

The goosebumps from a song—
The melody strikes my heart so that my
Hair raises, and little bumps coat my skin like a stingray's body. I feel strong.
My chest constricts as euphoria rushes over me in a sense of exquisite delicacy.

The uncontrollable smile—
In the worst moments, when all has gone wrong,
A smile creeps upon my face that stretches further than a mile.
A method to cope, to feign happiness in the worst moments, something I cannot prolong.

The spark of first love—
It does not creep up, it simply appears before you like a flashing sign.
You will become infatuated and defy all you thought was impossible—you will soar above.
An emotion so intense and passionate that you experience only once in life. The greatest high.
