Ferret Love Poem by jackilton peachum

Ferret Love

FERRET LOVE

Time was, my dear, on these cold nights,
we would've been kissing crudely--
grappling together like two naughty ferret
wriggling in a hole!
Now we settle for a handshake or a hug--
wal, the passion of youth passes,
like a missed train at a station
in the middle of nowhere--
while we stand and watch it chug out of sight!
