Festival Of Sacrifice Poem by Farah Taskin

Festival Of Sacrifice

Festive dawn unfurls like gossamer silk, wrapping the early hour
It is a celebratory carnival
A sudden tide of pure joy lifts the pilgrim's heavy heart, floating It toward the divine
Angels are sending the fragrance of flowers from a distant galaxy
The Abrahamic celebration is complete today
We must sacrifice our animality
To sow the seeds of peace should be our only purpose
